Green like powder on your battery, terminal, or wires is a bad sign. When engine heat slowly degrades connectors or wires, the plastic turns brittle and allows water to intrude. If this worsens, the corrosion will succumb the circuit. That green like powder will eat the copper or create an arch over time. Wires on or near a hot frame or improperly shielded MAY PRESENT RECURRING, ONGOING, OR REPEATED PROBLEMS.
Using rust neutralizer such as Loctite on connectors or wires will impede the flow of electricity and cause inumerable problems. If you have acid corrosion or rust; take the time to rewire the wiring harness or effective methods that does not degrade the integrity of the electrical circuit, the wiring harness, or the component you are diagnosing.
