This charging circuit is based on Youtuber ElectronicsNmore’s design. I thought I’d give a try and see if it works for me. I experimented by using a 13.9v zener diode and got the circuit to cut off the charging at around 15 volt. A lower cutoff voltage seems to leave the battery undercharged. I used a 12 volt 10 amp dc relay. If you use the correct wiring and components, you can theoretically charge up to 10 amps. I will do further testing with this circuit using other 12 volt batteries that have different stages of discharge.

You can pause the video to look at the circuit in more detail, or go to electronicsNmore’s channel to have a better look. Remember this is just a cut off circuit, you still need a charger with an open voltage of 16 to 18volts.
