Since 1985, we’ve built homes of quality and distinction for Oklahoma families. From first-time homes to complete custom homes, Shaw Homes is committed to making your experience the best it can be—always keeping you involved, and explaining every step.
We are not only devoted to crafting homes of quality and distinction, but also devoted to building long-lasting relationships with the families who live in the homes we create. Three generations of the Shaw family have now contributed their hard work and continuous focus on building better homes for our Tulsa neighbors. And, by working only with developers who share our deep commitment to quality, Shaw Homes communities offer ponds, green belts, golf courses, walking trails, swimming pools, and even clubhouses—so a great home in a great community is easy to find with Shaw Homes.

Almost nobody ever asks what size electrical panel is in the home they are looking at. This just isn’t something that occurs to people to ask. However, with today’s demand for electrical outlets rising because of all the tech devices, the size of the panel providing electricity to the home is more important than ever. During the design stage of a home, a builder looks at what the electrical draw is likely to be. Factoring in things like a clothes dryer, washing machine, oven, air conditioner, hot tub, a refrigerator and more, helps determine what size panel is needed to meet the demand. As home builders are constantly having to choose where to spend their money when building a home, an item like an electrical service panel is often scrimped on, and that extra money is spent on something that can be seen, like in the kitchen or master bath. Many homes come with 150 amp service, where Shaw Homes all come with 200 amp service. We use the larger panel to give you more room for growth, and more breakers to control your electricity. A good example is a treadmill. Most treadmills are high amperage users and demand a dedicated circuit. With a 200 amp service panel, you are more likely to have the space for such a dedicated circuit.
