This was made during a weekend game jam, where video game developers/programmers/etc. teamed up and locked themselves in a room for 48 hours to attempt making a game from start to finish.

The theme this year was “Overload”, and I got paired up with a group making a fast paced game they call “Circuit Breaker“.
The playing field is a circuit board. Two players compete, firing off electric pulses at their opponent along the different wires, trying to overload the other player with electricity.

I tried to capture the electric personality of the game within the music, while driving home the theme of “Overload”.

I created this piece from start to final product in something like 6 to 8 hours. I had a lot of fun playing around with sounds and creating some neat electronic timbres, trying to create an electric soundscape on which the players’ competition could thrive.

    Enjoy!

not sure why but about 15-20 seconds into the start process the fuse blows.
