In an emergency power outage I won’t need to power the water heater at all times which is obvious, but in a multiple day/week outage (having the week or more outage happen several times after hurricanes) this set up adds another level, of security so to speak, of having hot water when needed.
This is very easy to install & it is designed for out door use.
