  • This video shows you how to wire up a power seat. This is a great way to upgrade and add value to your car as well as give it that luxury feel. The car in this video is a Honda Accord 1998.2002 but this wiring will work for any car make or model. it is also a safe way to wire your car. First find your cars wire diagram or test by adding power to one wire and ground each other wire., until you figure out which wire gives the unit power and which is the ground for that power. Then run the negative wire and positive wire to a mini fuse tap. and use a 20v fuse for car seat. So when deciding which fuse to tap into find one fuse that is all ready that amp. you want 20v because that would be normal fuse for a power seat. if you are wiring a smaller accessorie you would use a smaller fuse. you might want to have a bag of fuse because you could end up blowing a few before you figure out which wire is which. usually black wire is ground. but keep in mind a power or ground wire can be any color. another was to test is to get someone with the same car and use a wire tester, which are very cheap . this is a simple and safer method if you don’t have wire diagram. it will tell you exactly which wire is power and which is ground. That is basically all there is to wiring a power seat into your car.
