In this guided applications exercise we’ll examine, test, and install a 3 pole circuit breaker. The circuit breaker serves to not only selectively energize and deenergize a circuit based on its actuation state, it also serves to protect the circuit from unusually high current draw associated with short circuits.

This machine performs testing of ABB circuit-breakers of the Tmax series models: T4, T5 and new XT1, XT2, XT3, XT4.
The machine has nine stations which can be tested individually by setting the switches on the operator panel model and the type of testing to be carried out with lever control cylinder or motor.
This test verifies the mechanical resistance of the switch up to a maximum of 25,000 drives divided into 5 cycles, set via operator panel for each test cycle. You can set the drive operator panel of the opening coil (SOR) and the undervoltage release coil (UVR). The working voltage of the coils of openness, minimum and engines are manually selectable supply.
There are three power supplies that are used, each, three stations.
