Wiring configurations for DIY solar panel installation. This is part 3 a solar training video for DIY solar installation and solar panel wire connections.
PART 3 OF SOLAR PANELS. ADDING AN INVERTER WITH SOME OTHER INFORMATION. VLOG COMBO.
Peoples, in this vid, my little 10A puppy of a variac is powered up, albeit quickly, just to determine if it’s inrush will pop a 32A type 1 breaker, or not.
= WARNING AND DISCLAIMER =
Powering appliances while opened up and / or with terminal covers removed IS DANGEROUS. Even though I look like I am right close-up to this variac while it was powered up, I can assure you…. I WAS HOLDING THE CAMERA AT ARM’S LENGTH ! I was quite a distance away from the exposed terminals, and it was constantly in my mind that they were live! DO NOT POWER-UP APPLIANCES WHILE THEY ARE OPENED UP AND / OR WITH THE TERMINAL COVER REMOVED! SHOCK RISK! ALSO BE AWARE THAT SOME APPLIANCES MAY RUN ERRATICALLY AND / OR DANGEROUSLY WITH COVERS REMOVED, AND THIS MAY BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE APPLIANCE AND OTHERS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO IT ! Should you decide to power-up an appliance with the cover removed and / or exposed live terminals, then you do so ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK, and I will NOT accept any responsibility / liability for personal injury / death, or damage to, or loss of property. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
A little bit later on peoples, when I have the variac wired up, I will make attempts at getting the inrush of this variac to activate a 5 Amp circuit breaker, and to do a video on inrush control ( i.e. soft-starting ) by using a variety of techniques which will probaby include the use of the Fun-Jiggery-Pokery Unit.
Stay tuned, peoples! More variac updates on their way!
Thank you for watching,
