2000 Chevy Malibu MAF Ground problem
This is a good video on how to check sensor grounds using a voltmeter. Once you get more comfortable with this type of testing, it is far more accurate than the ohmmeter. The key though is to make sure the circuit you are testing is “loaded”.

This demonstration is on an X3 with an N52 that has the electronic water pump. This shows how to check and bleed the cooling system and how to run the electrical water pump which would be needed after a cooling flush or work on the cooling system.
This vehicle had started overheating causing the fan to turn on high. There were communication faults for the water pump which had failed and needed replacement.
