Another fun arcing fault video, now using a 13.8kV supply. Power is again limited by the mains wiring and the transformer impedance. The current pulled from the 230V mains supply was about 130A with a step-up ratio of 60:1 that was about 2.16 Amps. Also the length of the arc itself has considerable impact on the amount of fault current flows. As it keep changing, as it dances up and down, so does the fault current. The current is largest at the bottom when the gap is the shortest.

Taken from a 2011 infrared scan, this clip showcases a 110+ degree heating discrepancy between two areas of a utility pole/power line. Without a high-voltage infrared inspection, this discrepancy could have resulted in a power outage.
